Fostering in Enfield
By verma1 | Tuesday, January 25, 2011, 11:39
Fostering involves caring for children while their parents are unable to look after them. This could be due to family illness, a breakdown in family relationships, abuse, or neglect.
Fostering offers a better way of looking after children in the Local Authority’s care because they can continue to live and develop within a family environment.
Enfield Fostering Service is dedicated to recruit more foster carers who can meet the needs of children living in Enfield. By recruiting more local Foster Carers, the children can visit family and friends more easily and continue to attend their local school.
To do this we want to raise awareness of fostering within the London Borough of Enfield, dispel any myths people may have and encourage more local people to ‘step forward’ as a prospective Foster Carers.
