Congratulations to all pupils and staff celebrating Enfield's results this week.

I am concerned however that, at the bottom end of the tables, things are still so wrong.  Trevor Averre Beeson and Edison arrived at Salisbury School Easter of 2007, a year which saw our results almost double from 11% to 22%.  'Enfield Council is paying Edison £390,000-a-year to transform the school.'

So what did the governors get for their money?  1% in 2010. A mere 6% over three years... (22% on arrival, 19% 2008, 27% 2009, 28% 2010.)

It seems grossly unfair that TABman and Edison use the media to promote their image and swell the coffers on arrival in schools but are not subjected to the same scrutiny and condemnation on departure.

After three years what is their legacy?  Certainly not a 'Turning around of schools.' as much quoted by this failed educationalist but a huge task for the incoming 'Academy' and Boris Johnson.

And with that task I wish the surviving staff and hapless pupils the best of luck.
