I hope that Ex Cllr Savva continues to enjoy his retirement in Cyprus. He has been there for some time and I doubt that he has been travelling back enough times to deal with council and constituent business. At a recent meeting called by the BHP councillors to discuss issues of interest and concern to local residents ex-Cllr. Savva was not present and of the two councillors present one left almost as soon as the meeting started! Voters in Bush Hill Park are being taken for granted as it is perceived to be a safe Tory ward and that is not a good thing.

Was Cllr Savva present enough times to earn his allowance or did he not claim it? It would be interesting to know.

Hmm... Interesting comment, but where do you find details of Cllr holidays and attendance?

Good point. I suppose member attendance at council meetings could be put on the LBE web site. I don't think council holidays is something we should know about but how far from Enfield they live or if they live abroad would be legitimate information in the public domain. The full council sits about every 2 months, activity outside of this is important. In BHP the members are conspicuous by their absence. Meeting individual voters may be a chore but they could at least have a decent dialogue with the residence association but they appear to be ignoring this apolitical body.
