Enfield Freegle the not for profit recycling/reuse organisation with only one goal 'To Stop Good Stuff Going to Landfill' ( 'Free Giving Locally Easily') and is run entirely online by over 500 unpaid volunteers across the UK. We have actively supported the Tottenham Riot victims along with residents in and around Tottenham to help them get all they need completely free of charge and will continue to support them once they've been allocated new homes to get them everything they need to get their lives back on track. Haringey Council's Riot Relief Office now say they have enough donated items at the moment having taken delivery of donations from both Mothercare and Tesco' supermarket. They had so many donations that what was left over was distributed around Haringey to support the community. Enfield Freegle also helped organise a free community BBQ last Saturday in association with Kempe Hall Community Centre and funded by Enfield Homes for residents in the Turkey Street ward. Local Supermarkets Sainsbury's in Waltham Cross and Waitrose in Enfield supported us with donations of food for the BBQ and can't thank them enough for their support! In Enfield alone we have 6,6011 members giving and getting stuff they need or want completely free of charge. UK wide there are over 300 branches and more than 1.67 million members across the country. Residents Priority Fund grant to help us get the money we need to purchase a gazebo for our outreach events and for PR materials which is essential to help us get the word out about our brilliant organisation.
