Enfield Council has announced that it faces

government cuts of 27% in funding. Taken together with significant increased

pressures on council spending, as a result the Council is facing a cumulative

loss of £138 million over the next four years.

In order to show how they plan to provide

value for money services and freeze the Council Tax in 2011/12, Enfield Council

have published the Enfield Spending Review 2011/12 consultation paper, now available

for local residents to view and give their opinions on online.

Enfield Council want to hear your views on

the difficult budget choices you are making and ask that all local residents

take the time to read the budget review and complete their questionnaire.

The consultation period ends on January 15 (next

Sat) and the consultation paper and questionnaire are available on the council’s

website here.
