Local professional Theatre company Skewbald are back, returning to Enfield parks with their hit production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Anyone who has seen Skewbald's work will know that they are not like any usual Theatre Company for their work combines a performance with a walking tour.

Having toured to Cornwall and Buckinghamshire in the past few weeks they are returning to Enfield throughout July to perform 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in both Trent Park 2nd - 10th July and then Forty Hall 16th - 24th July.

The show is an exciting outdoor adventure for the whole family that takes audiences on a magical journey through Enfield's magnificent woodlands as is  brought to life through puppetry, live music, song, dance, physical theatre and storytelling.

Audiences will be welcomed as guests of Theseus the Duke of Athens as he celebrates his marriage to the AmaZon Queen Hippolyta. But all is not well in Athens as a group of young lovers have run away, a group of Mechanicals secretly rehearse their play and everyone gets mixed up in disputes of the Fairy King and Queen in the enchanted woodland. Here in the land of the fairies the mischievous sprite Puck uses a magical flower to play tricks on passers by resulting in a tangled web of love and a man being turned into a donkey!

As this production promenades through the woodland audience members are advised to wear suitable footwear and may wish to bring a portable chair. Blankets to sit on will be provided.
